Car Rentals Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms
By booking a car rental through SkynTravel, the customer confirms that all Terms and Conditions have been read, understood, and accepted. These terms include rental supplier policies, pricing conditions, cancellation rules, and applicable service fees.
Acceptance may be provided through online booking confirmation, email authorization, payment approval, or recorded verbal consent.
Customers must contact SkynTravel support using the contact details provided in the booking confirmation before initiating any dispute. Failure to do so may result in denial of refund or claim eligibility.

2. Payment Authorization
2.1 Cardholder Approval
By providing payment details, the cardholder confirms authorization to use the card and approves all charges related to the booking, including rental charges, taxes, service fees, deposits, and any additional supplier costs.
2.2 Third-Party Payments
Payments made using a third-party card are considered authorized unless proven fraudulent through proper verification.
2.3 Split Payments
SkynTravel reserves the right to process payments in multiple transactions when required.

3. Service Fees Policy
All SkynTravel service fees, including booking assistance, modification handling, cancellation processing, and customer support services, are strictly non-refundable once the booking is confirmed.
Rental supplier policies determine refund eligibility, and SkynTravel cannot override supplier-imposed rules.

4. Rental Supplier Terms
All car rental bookings are subject to the terms and conditions of the respective rental supplier. These may include:

  • Security deposit requirements
  • Driver eligibility criteria
  • Fuel policies
  • Mileage limitations
  • Insurance requirements
  • Additional driver charges

SkynTravel acts only as an intermediary and does not control supplier policies or operational decisions.

5. Booking Confirmation Responsibility
Customers must review booking details immediately upon receipt. This includes:

  • Pickup and drop-off location
  • Rental dates and times
  • Driver information
  • Vehicle category

Any discrepancies must be reported within 24 hours. Failure to notify will be considered acceptance of the booking details.

6. Security Deposit and Local Payments
Most rental suppliers require a refundable security deposit at the time of vehicle pickup. This amount is charged directly by the rental company and is not controlled by SkynTravel.
Additional charges such as fuel, tolls, extra mileage, late return fees, or optional add-ons may also be payable directly to the supplier.

7. Driver Requirements
The primary driver must:

  • Meet the minimum age requirement set by the supplier
  • Hold a valid driver’s license
  • Provide an international driving permit (if required)
  • Present a valid credit card in their name at pickup

Failure to meet these requirements may result in denied vehicle release without refund.

8. Cancellation and Modification Policy
Cancellation and modification requests are subject to supplier terms and conditions.

  • Some bookings may be non-refundable
  • Cancellation fees may apply
  • Last-minute changes may incur additional charges

SkynTravel service fees remain non-refundable in all cases.

9. No-Show Policy
If the customer fails to arrive at the rental location at the scheduled time, the booking will be treated as a no-show.
In such cases, the full booking amount may be non-refundable, as per supplier policy.

10. Chargeback Policy
Customers must contact SkynTravel before initiating any chargeback or dispute.
Disputes related to non-refundable bookings, authorized transactions, no-shows, or dissatisfaction with supplier services are considered invalid chargebacks.
SkynTravel reserves the right to contest such disputes.

11. Chargeback Liability
In case of an unjustified chargeback, SkynTravel reserves the right to recover all associated costs, including administrative fees, bank charges, and legal expenses.
Future bookings may also be restricted.

12. Fraud Prevention and Verification
To prevent fraud, SkynTravel may request verification documents, including:

  • Government-issued ID
  • Credit card verification
  • Authorization forms
  • Billing address confirmation
  • OTP or bank verification

Failure to provide requested documents may result in booking cancellation, with charges up to 100% of the booking value.

13. Vehicle Usage and Responsibility
The renter is responsible for:

  • Using the vehicle in accordance with local laws
  • Returning the vehicle in the same condition
  • Paying for any damages, fines, or violations
  • Ensuring the vehicle is not used for illegal purposes

Any damage or misuse may result in additional charges imposed by the supplier.

14. Insurance Coverage
Insurance coverage depends on the rental supplier and selected package. Basic insurance may be included, while additional coverage may be optional or mandatory at pickup.
Customers are advised to review insurance details carefully before travel.

15. Supplier Responsibility
SkynTravel is not responsible for:

  • Vehicle availability issues
  • Mechanical failures
  • Accidents or damages
  • Supplier service quality
  • Delays at pickup or drop-off

All such matters are handled directly by the rental supplier.

16. Refund Processing
If a refund is approved by the supplier, processing may take 30 to 90 days depending on supplier and payment provider timelines.
Refunds are subject to supplier policies and SkynTravel service fees.

17. Force Majeure
SkynTravel shall not be held liable for disruptions caused by events beyond its control, including:

  • Natural disasters
  • Government restrictions
  • Strikes
  • Pandemics
  • Road closures or travel restrictions

18. 24-Hour Service Review Period
Customers must report any issues within 24 hours of booking. After this period, the booking will be considered accepted, and no claims or disputes will be entertained.

Customer Responsibilities During Rental
1. Valid Documentation
Customers must carry:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Passport or ID
  • Credit card (if required)

2. Compliance with Local Laws
Drivers must follow all traffic laws and regulations. Any fines or penalties are the responsibility of the renter.

3. Timely Vehicle Return
Vehicles must be returned on time. Late returns may result in additional charges.

4. Fuel Policy Compliance
Customers must follow the supplier’s fuel policy (e.g., full-to-full). Failure to comply may result in refueling charges.

5. Condition of Vehicle
The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as received. Any damages may incur repair charges.

6. Consequences of Non-Compliance
Failure to comply with these responsibilities may result in:

  • Additional charges
  • Loss of deposit
  • Non-refundable booking
  • Legal liability
